Toybox is thrilled to announce that we have been chosen as one of this year’s Advent of Change charity partners.
We’re incredibly honoured to have been part of the Advent of Change calendar for the past five years. Thanks to the generosity of Advent of Change supporters, almost £18,000 has been raised for Toybox, helping us reach more street children. We are delighted to be continuing this partnership and be part of this amazing initiative.
What is Advent of Change?
Advent of Change is an advent calendar with a difference. Instead of chocolate behind each door, there’s a different charity, along with a message about how the donation is helping that day. The Advent of Change calendar is a great way to help make a difference to the lives of those who need it most this Christmas.

How does it help at Toybox?
This year, donations from Advent of Change will help provide playboxes for street children. Living and working on the streets is tough. Many street children are frightened, overwhelmed, and worried about when they might get their next meal. Having the chance to play helps them cope with the stress and worries.
The right to play is recognised as a human right and is essential for supporting early years development. For street children in particular, opportunities to play are often scarce. Having toys and a chance to play offers more than fun, it’s a welcome escape from the daily challenges they face.
