As we look to 2024, some of Team Toybox share their hopes and prayers for the year ahead:
Nicky, Head of Philanthropic Giving: "I pray for the wonderful partners we work with across the world, that they will have continued strength and courage throughout 2024 to reach the most vulnerable street connected children and make a really positive impact in their young lives."
Jenny, Income and Database Administrator: "I pray for the governments and the leaders of the countries in which we work, that they may serve wisely and with compassion for all the people in their countries."
Roz, Programme Manager, Latin America: "I pray for the health and wellbeing of our partner staff as they work tirelessly to ensure each activity leads to positive change for children and young people in street situations."
Emilie, Head of Individual Giving: "I pray that all of the children who have received their birth certificates this year have the opportunity to fulfil one of their dreams for 2024 thanks to the doors that have been opened to them now they are registered."
Gerry, Marketing and Content Manager: "I give thanks for our incredible partners and the work they are doing to reconcile children with their families. My hope for 2024 is that our partners are able to reach even more children, supporting them in their journey to leave the streets."
Lynne, CEO: "I pray for the end of violence against women and girls, that women and girls are safe an protected in their homes and wider communities."
Graeme, Director of Finance and Resources: "My prayer is for our partner’s teams; that they have energy in the busy times, time to rest and find restoration with their families, and that they may know the joy they bring to the children they work with."
Naomi, Director of Marketing and Fundraising: "My prayer for 2024 is that Toybox continues to grow, allowing us to reach and support as many street children as possible."
Naomi Hall Opiyo, Director of Impact and Programmes: "My prayer for 2024 if that Toybox is able to reach more and more vulnerable children, enabling them to be safe and access new opportunities."
