Toybox's new Summer prayer guide for 2025 is now available!
In this edition, we give thanks for the work of CHADET, our partner in Ethiopia, who is working to deliver non-formal education to street children. Having recognised the critical role of food and financial support, CHADET revised its provision of nutritious meals and help with covering tuition fees. It is encouraging to see the effect of this, with an increase in the average number of children attending the numeracy and literacy sessions.
We celebrate that in Guatemala, 63 children were enrolled in formal schooling in earlier this year. Seventeen of these were able to enter formal schooling for the first time, after years of working with them in informal educational visits. Free places are very limited in the formal education system, so this is a very positive step.
We also focus on the birth registration work underway in Nepal. Local partner SathSath have been making special efforts to raise awareness among vulnerable and marginalised families through targeted social media campaigns. In addition, panels about birth registration have been added to the Mobile School. We pray that these will help children and families to better understand legal documentation processes, their importance, and access to rights and opportunities.
Our prayer guide is released quarterly and this edition takes us through July, August and September 2025.
