Terms & conditions

By completing an application for a Toybox place in the Oxford Half Marathon, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Places are highly sought after, so please read the following carefully.

General

1. You participate in the Oxford Half Marathon entirely at your own risk. Toybox is not liable for any injury or loss which you may incur because of your participation in the event.
2. Toybox reserves the right to amend or change these Terms and Conditions at any point. In this case, all confirmed runners will be informed and given the most recent version of these Terms and Conditions.

Participation

1. You must be 17 years old by Race Day to participate in this event.
2. During registration, you agree to pay a non-refundable £95 entry fee.
3. Toybox will not refund this entry fee under any circumstances.
4. If you sustain an injury during training, please contact Toybox. It is important that you do not take part in your race unless you are completely fit to do so. Deferrals are decided on an individual basis. If Toybox decides you may defer, you must agree to abide by all Terms and Conditions that Toybox publishes for the subsequent event. This includes any increase in the amount of sponsorship money you pledge to raise.
5. All participants running on one of Toybox’s charity places agree that images, audio and video taken during training or on the day may be used by Toybox to promote the Oxford Half Marathon in the future.
6. If you decide not to run in the Oxford Half Marathon – or decide to run for another charity – you must inform Toybox immediately.
7. By taking part in the Oxford Half Marathon for Toybox, you consent to Toybox contacting you via phone, SMS, letter or email for any communications in relation to your fundraising or participation in the event.
8. You understand that through your participation, Toybox will have to share your information with the Oxford Half Marathon office to ensure your participation in the event.

Fundraising

1. Toybox has a limited number of charity places. To apply for one of these places to run in the Oxford Half Marathon 2026 race for Toybox, you pledge to raise a declared sponsorship of £350 by 11 October 2026.
2. If you are allocated a Toybox charity place then you agree to fundraise only for Toybox. If you set up a Just Giving page or any other online giving page, 100% of your fundraising must be for Toybox.
3. Any existing regular donations which you make to Toybox do not form part of the total raised through sponsorship.
4. Toybox will advise you on the recommended way(s) to pay in your sponsorship. This is to ensure that Toybox can easily trace funds that you pay in.
5. Payment deadline for the full minimum sponsorship is 31 October 2026. If you need more time to collect sponsorship, please let Toybox know in advance of this date. All charities inform the Oxford Half Marathon organisers if someone does not fulfil their pledge.
6. Any monies received by Toybox under the Gift Aid scheme (or any other charity tax scheme) do not count towards the total value of the sponsorship raised.
7. Toybox may withdraw your place at any point if it considers that you are unwilling or unable to raise the minimum sponsorship amount.
