2025 London Marathon

We will provide all Toybox London Marathon runners with:

  • A personalised running vest.
  • Opportunity to join our Facebook group with fellow Toybox London Marathon runners and updates from Team Toybox.
  • Support with promoting fundraising events on Toybox social media channels.
  • Fundraising guidance, tips and resources.
  • Support with setting up a Just Giving page.

We would ask runners to:

  • Raise funds by the method of their choice.
  • Set up a Just Giving page for online giving.
  • We would really like runners to share training updates with us on social media, tagging @toyboxcharity or supply Toybox with photo updates which we can share to Toybox social media channels.
  • If you have any other special skills or experience that might benefit the rest of the group of runners, please speak up!

If you already have a place in the London Marathon 2025 and would like to support Toybox through fundraising, please email us.

Terms & Conditions

By completing an application for a Toybox place in the London Marathon, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Places are highly sought after, so please read the following carefully.

General

  1. You participate in the London Marathon entirely at your own risk. Toybox is not liable for any injury or loss which you may incur as a result of your participation in the event.

  2. Toybox reserves the right to amend or change these Terms and Conditions at any point. In this case, all confirmed runners will be informed and given the most recent version of these Terms and Conditions.

Participation

  1. You must be 18 years old by Race Day in order to participate in this event.

  2. If your application is successful, you agree to pay a £100 non-refundable entry fee to Toybox. Toybox will notify you by email and will explain how to pay your £100 entry fee. You must pay your £100 entry fee within 14 days of this notification; otherwise you risk losing your guaranteed charity place to another applicant.

  3. Toybox will not refund this £100 entry fee under any circumstances. If you cancel your Toybox place for any reason, your £100 entry fee will be used as a donation to the group fund to which all 2025 London Marathon fundraising is allocated.

  4. If you sustain an injury during training, please contact Toybox. It is important that you do not take part in the marathon unless you are completely fit to do so. Deferrals are decided on an individual basis. If Toybox decides you may defer, you must agree to abide by all Terms and Conditions that Toybox publishes for the subsequent event. This includes any increase in the amount of sponsorship money you pledge to raise.

  5. All participants running on one of Toybox’s charity places agree that images, audio and video taken during training or on the day may be used by Toybox to promote the London Marathon in the future.

  6. If you decide not to run the London Marathon – or decide to run for another charity – you must inform Toybox immediately.

  7. By taking part in the London Marathon for Toybox, you consent to Toybox contacting you via phone, SMS, letter or email for any communications in relation to your fundraising or participation in the event.

  8. You understand that through your participation, Toybox will have to share your information with the London Marathon office to ensure your participation in the event.

Fundraising

  1. Toybox has a limited number of charity places. To apply for one of these places to run the London Marathon 2025 for Toybox, you pledge to raise a declared sponsorship of £1,750 or more to Toybox by 30th June 2025. Your application will be subject to a selection process, so that Toybox can ensure that our guaranteed charity places are used to the best-possible effect (as determined by Toybox), therefore please ensure you submit a fully detailed fundraising plan on your application form.

  2. If you are allocated a Toybox charity place then you agree to fundraise only for Toybox. If you set up a Just Giving page or any other online giving page, 100% of your fundraising must be for Toybox.

  3. You must raise £500 by 31st December 2024, £1,250 by 1st March 2025 and £1,750 by the 30th April 2025. If you have not raised these amounts by these deadlines, Toybox will withdraw your place and allocate it to another runner on our waiting list.

  4. Any existing regular donations which you make to Toybox do not form part of the total raised through sponsorship.

  5. Toybox will advise you on the recommended way(s) to pay in your sponsorship. This is to ensure that Toybox can easily trace funds that you pay in.

  6. Payment deadline for the full minimum sponsorship is 30th June 2025. If you need more time to collect sponsorship, please let Toybox know in advance of this date. All charities inform the London Marathon organisers if someone does not fulfil their pledge.

  7. Any monies received by Toybox under the Gift Aid scheme (or any other charity tax scheme) do not count towards the total value of the sponsorship raised.

  8. Toybox may withdraw your place at any point if it considers that you are unwilling or unable to raise the minimum sponsorship amount.
