Lynne Morris

Lynne Morris

CEO

Lynne joined Toybox as the Chief Executive Officer in 2012. Prior to joining Toybox, Lynne held Director roles in the UK and international not-for-profit sector, including at World Vision UK and Spurgeons where she was the Marketing and Fundraising Director. In addition, Lynne has sat on the board of several national charities including Livability and the Consortium for Street Children.

With her deep belief that no child should be forced to live or work on the streets along with her passionate and determined leadership, Lynne has helped to transform Toybox into a leading voice in the sector on street children’s rights that is helping to change the lives of hundreds of thousands of vulnerable children globally.

Some of Lynne’s contributions to Toybox so far include the creation of a skilled, independent, and creative team prepared to fight for the rights of street children, and the organisation’s innovative birth registration programme which began in Guatemala in 2013 and has since expanded to four countries. She has a personal passion to ensure that Toybox has a positive impact on every child we engage with. In January 2022 Lynne was awarded an OBE for her services to children.

Lynne is the organisation's lead for employee wellbeing.

To me, courage is about changing yourself.

Naomi Hall Opiyo

Naomi Hall Opiyo

Director of Impact and Programmes

Naomi joined Toybox in April 2020, having spent 18 years in the international development sector. Her determination to fight poverty and injustice began at a young age, which was further honed through opportunities overseas during her gap year and at university which gave her insight into the complexities – and joys- of international development.

Naomi went on to spend seven years working in East Africa developing strong skills in programme management, community engagement, leadership, monitoring and evaluation. She has managed multiple large and small programmes in many countries around the world in a variety of sectors including child labour, food security, education, child protection and HIV/AIDS among others- with both international NGOs in the UK and a variety of different organisations overseas.

Naomi is passionate about learning from the key participants of programmes themselves, especially children, and adapting interventions accordingly to make them more effective and inclusive.

Naomi is the organisation's lead for Safeguarding. If you have any safeguarding concerns about Toybox or any of our partners please contact [email protected]

To me, courage is about stepping out of your comfort zone and making hard decisions – for the better good.
