Leadership team

Lynne Morris

Lynne Morris

CEO

Lynne joined Team Toybox in August 2012. Her career to date has involved Marketing, Fundraising, Communications, the leadership of people, the testing of new ideas and concepts coupled with Strategic Thinking. More recently her role at Toybox has developed her knowledge of Governance, Legal and HR issues.

Lynne began her career in the private sector but quickly moved to the third sector which has largely been focussed within international development, starting by working with major donors and institutional grant making bodies at World Vision UK. For twelve years she had the privilege of leading various Marketing, Communication, Behavioural Insights and Fundraising functions within this organisation, leaving in 2010 as the Acting Marketing Director. Before coming to Toybox she led the Marketing and Fundraising team at Spurgeons, implementing a new public engagement strategy.

Lynne joined Toybox with a remit from the Board to create a dynamic charity, fit for the opportunities and challenges facing the sector today. Her most important contribution to Toybox so far has been the creation of a dedicated, independent thinking team prepared to fight for the rights of street children on a daily basis. She has a personal passion to ensure that Toybox has a positive impact on every, single street child we engage with.

Lynne is the organisation's lead for Data Protection and Care for the Environment.

To me, courage is about changing yourself.

Naomi Hall Opiyo

Naomi Hall Opiyo

Director of Impact and Programmes

Naomi joined Toybox in April 2020, having spent 18 years in the international development sector. Her determination to fight poverty and injustice began at a young age, which was further honed through opportunities overseas during her gap year and at university which gave her insight into the complexities – and joys- of international development.

Naomi went on to spend seven years working in East Africa developing strong skills in programme management, community engagement, leadership, monitoring and evaluation. She has managed multiple large and small programmes in many countries around the world in a variety of sectors including child labour, food security, education, child protection and HIV/AIDS among others- with both international NGOs in the UK and a variety of different organisations overseas.

Naomi is passionate about learning from the key participants of programmes themselves, especially children, and adapting interventions accordingly to make them more effective and inclusive.

Naomi is the organisation's lead for Safeguarding.

To me, courage is about stepping out of your comfort zone and making hard decisions – for the better good.
